Transition to Spring

March 01, 2022

Coming out of hibernation can be pretty shocking to our system. Going from cold and dreary days spent indoors to finding the motivation for spring cleaning can be pretty daunting. How about getting outdoors and tending to all the treasures Mother Nature has leftover winter. Getting some natural vitamin D might be just what you need to put a little "Spring" in your step.

Housekeeping

Now is the time to do a thorough walk-through of the property to assess where things stand. Remove any large branches and debris resulting from rain and snow over the last couple of months. Make sure gutters are clear and unclogged so they can perform adequately. If possible, check the roof to ensure there are no damaged or missing shingles because that can cause damage to the inside of your home if left unaddressed. Next, make a plan to help get your grass green and make your plants and flowers pop! There are tons of online sites that can help guide the way if you lack the green thumb area.

Fireside Fun

Although you might not be throwing a pool party any time soon, what about some fun around an outdoor fire pit or fireplace? Even though our outdoor components are excellent all year long, there is something special about Spring nights around the fire. The excitement of summer is around the corner, and all the promise and possibilities it brings make it a great time to gather with family and friends outdoors. After being stuck inside for months, it is nice to share cocktails and conversations around the ambient light. There is something so tranquil and relaxing about the glowing flame. You can keep the children happy by heating a sweet treat like s'mores.

Seasons bring more than a change of weather. Sometimes it can mean the difference between a relaxed and comfy state of mind to a let's get after it mindset. However, you choose to transition into Spring this year, just know that you can have fun doing it. And do not forget to add planning that outdoor project to the list of things to do if you have not done so already!
