Summer is the perfect time to sit down with your family by a campfire and enjoy your summer nights, but mosquitos can become a real problem when outside with your family. Here are three non-toxic, homemade recipes to ensure you have an enjoyable experience outside.
What you'll need:
1. 10-12 drops of lavender oil
2. 3-4 tablespoons of vanilla extract
3. 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice
4. 1-2 cups of water
What you'll have to do:
1. Mix the lavender oil with vanilla extract and lemon juice
2. Add this mixture to two cups of water
3. Shake this solution well and spray it on your exposed body parts
What you'll need:
1. 12 drops of peppermint oil
2. 30 mL of coconut oil
What you'll have to do:
1. Mix peppermint oil with coconut oil
2. Apply this mixture directly to your hands and legs
You'll need:
1. 10-12 cloves
2. 1 lemon
What you have to do:
1. Take a lemon and cut it in half
2. Insert 5-6 cloves into each half of the lemon.
3. Place it wherever there are a lot of mosquitos
4. Alternatively, you can also mix clove oil with a carrier oil and apply it to the exposed areas of your body.
