Pumpkin Planter

What you'll need
• Faux or real pumpkin
• Small rocks
• Potting soil
• Assorted seasonal plants

1. Prepare the pumpkin by cutting a generous top opening, hollowing the orb (if using a real pumpkin), and drilling a drainage hole. Cover with a light layer of rocks.
2. Half-fill the pumpkin with a potting mix made for use in container gardens (don't use garden soil). Do not overfill your pumpkin, you want to make sure you have plenty of room to add your plants.
3. Add plants, then water thoroughly. Be sure not to over-water your pumpkin container. Excess moisture will cause the pumpkin to deteriorate. Choose a variety of plants that work well together including flowers, ornamental grasses, and herbs. Try experimenting with different plant combinations.
4. Once your planter is complete, display it with in-season decor such as pumpkins, gourds, and even hay bales.

Autumn Candleholders

What you'll need:
• Serving bowl or dish, at least 2 inches deep (see Tips below)
• 2 cups (or more, to fill dish) uncooked popcorn kernels, shelled peanuts, dried beans, or small hard candies
• 3 or more votive candles, or dripless low tapers
• Clear glass candleholders to fit candles (optional)

1. Fill dish with dried material.
2. Press candles (or candleholders) into the dish until stable.
3. Remove excess dried material as needed so that candle wicks are well above the level of the items in the bowl.

Pumpkin Pillow

What you'll need:
• 17” x 17” pillow
• 17” x 17” pillow cover
• Pumpkin Stencil
• Jar of fabric paint (I got orange.)
• 2” mini paint roller
• Cardboard frame for you to easily paint the stenciled design onto the pillow cover

1. Put the cardboard frame between the pillow cover to give it a steady base and place the pumpkin stencil on the pillow cover.
2. Get the fabric paint ready. Shake the paint and stir with the stirring stick. Pour the paint onto the paint tray and roll the mini-roller over the paint.
3. Make sure the paint covers the roller evenly without getting too much excess paint on the roller and lightly roll the paint over the stencil.
4. Touch up the edges with the paintbrush. And paint on the stem and leaves if you'd like with brown and green fabric paint.
5. Once its dry, take the cardboard out from inside the pillow cover, and slip in the pillow.
